"Hi, I'm Kathy Edwards and this is my beautiful model Melanie Immanuel for Makeup by Kathy and we are here on behalf of Expert Village. Next we are going to be applying our eyeliner and what I am going to do with this, I'm going to first start on the top lid and we are going to start in the center of her eyelid and when you are applying eyeliner you want to make sure and use short strokes and then you want to connect them. This is our eyeliner pencil and you want to make sure that when you are using the eyeliner that it is sharpened to a sharp point so that the line looks very fine and you can build on it as much as you want, if you want extra eyeliner on you can add that as you go. Okay so now we are going to start in the center of her eyelid and make just a short line. And then we want to go from the inside corner over to the center and then from the outside corner into the middle. You want to make sure you are using short strokes and then you want to connect them. You want to look up, make sure that it is applied evenly all the way across and you can see that it is and then on the bottom you are going to look up towards the ceiling and start from the outside edge and work your way in. If a person has very large eyes, they may want to go all the way across. Usually you are only going to go about three quarters of the way across because if you do go all the way across it will close their eye up and it will make their eye look smaller. So you want to go about three quarters of the way across and you want to soften the look of the eyeliner on the bottom. So you just take a pointy q-tip and just lightly smooth out that color so that it looks very even, very soft."
