"Hi, I'm Kathy Edwards and this is my beautiful model Melanie Immanuel for Makeup by Kathy and we are here on behalf of Expert Village. Next we are moving to the eyes. The first thing that we want to do when we are working with the eyes is we are going to be putting a little bit of color in her brow and that just evens out the color in the brow. A lot of times people will have brows that might be thinner in spots and so we are going to use a little bit of powder in her brows and then we are going to put on her eyeshadow colors. First we will use a base color for the eyeshadow, then we will use a color, a medium shade on her lower lid and then we will use a contour color in the crease. Once we have done that then we will do the eyeliner and then we will apply a mascara. Okay, there is a little trick to knowing where to apply color to your eyebrows and then where to end. The trick is to take a straight edge, you want to hold it at the edge of your nose and inside corner of your eye and there is where your brow should begin. On the outside edge you want to hold the straight edge at the corner of your nose and at the corner of your eye and that will tell where you should stop applying the color and as you see her eyebrow is perfectly shaped. There is also another trick as to knowing where the arch of your eyebrow should be and that is holding the straight edge at the corner of your nose and then you cross the center of iris and then that shows you exactly where the arch of the eyebrow should begin. So, her eyebrows are actually very nice. So it is going to make my job very easy. But know when you start to apply the color to her brows and when you do that you want to make sure that you use a shade of color that is about one to two shades lighter than the color of her brows and we are going to fill in and shape just a tiny bit so that she's got just a very natural look to her eyebrows. Okay, I am actually disinfecting my brush; I'm using alcohol with a special disinfected unit so that when I put my brush back in the pallet it is cleansed so that the colors I always use are fresh. As we said we are using a color that is blended two shades lighter than the color of her hair. So we are using a color it is called brown mist. One way that you can actually start this if you are new at applying color to the brows, you can make just like a backward check now starting at the inside corner of the brow and then going backwards in just a slight arch and then just filling in the color across the eyebrow. You see how that just gives you just a little bit of natural color in there. Okay this is a brow brush and what you will do with this, once you have applied your color, whether it would be applying eyeshadow as the color or whether you are using an eyebrow pencil, then you would actually take the brow brush and you will actually; you would just take it and you will reshape the brow going in the direction that the brow grows."
