Applying Powder to Set Evening: Party Makeup

"Hi! I'm Kathy Edwards and this is my beautiful model Melanie Emmanuel from Makeup by Kathy, and we're here on behalf of Expert Village. Now we're going to set Melanie's foundation with powder. This is a mineral powder brush. You'll see that it does have a flat head on it, so what I'm going to do is just put it into my powder and then I'm going to knock the powder down into the bristles just a tad so that the powder comes out just a small amount at a time. We're going to start at the forehead. As we do this, we just want to lightly stifle this onto her skin, and then we're going to begin at the forehead and we're going to work our way down and just make sure that the powder is evenly spread over the foundation. This would help to set the foundation so that the color will last all day long and the color will be true all day. This gives a very even look to the foundation."
