"Hi! My name is Kathy and we’re at My Lords and Ladies in Stratford and we’re going to talk about jewelry. Let’s take a look at formal wear and jewelry with it. We have a little array here so we’re just going to start off with this one, this is a very fun look but still formal, strapless this could go with many different skirts, full a line, sexy short, everybody’s idea of what formal is is just that their own. So for fun we have a necklace with some bead work a big statement right up at the neckline with the flowers pull a little pink into it somewhere else and that is fun fanciful but still formal. On this board we have a couple of necklaces generally if there’s a lot of sparkle in your necklace tends to put it into a more formal category, it’s up to the individual I like dressy, I tend to wear sparkly at any given time of the day or evening. Another example would be on this manikin we have a off the shoulder dress but a colored skirt, so instead of going with black on black again choose a necklace that fills up that neckline and picks up the colors from the skirt and right besides there we have an evening gown that has a little more historic feel to it, so I’m not going to put a necklace like this with that it tends to not blend in the era, I choose a necklace that’s very jeweled, very drippy, has an old fashioned feel to it so keep your necklaces in conjunction with the era of the style of your gown. And then it doesn’t always have to be as formal we could do a pair of black slacks put a simple black top with it at that point a little bit of color against it and that can look just as formal as any of these bejeweled pieces, slacks, heels, the right necklace and you can go just about anywhere."
