" Good day, my name is Kathy and we’re at My Lords and Ladies in Stratford, Ontario we’re here on behalf of expertvillage.com and we’re going to talk about cleaning your jewelry. Your jewelry doesn’t have to be cleaned all that often if we over clean our jewelry we can tend to wear it down so just do it when it needs it. The most standard form is to buy a pre-made cleanser, it’s a liquid form just take off the lid and inside there is generally a little dish, the dish is good because you can put your rings over the top, put your chains in the bottom, put it in and let it soak, there’s usually a little brush comes with this so that you can brush in between the crevices of where the stones are. One thing that you need to remember is read your label on the label there’s certain kinds for certain different stones, some are just for silver, some are for combination of silver and gold, make sure you’re using the right product for the jewelry you happen to be cleaning. Always set your jewelry out and then rinse it out under cold water afterwards, try to towel will dry it and then set it out to dry on the air don’t put it in a sealed container with the moisture in it, a good way is to just have a nice soft little piece of fabric, buff it up afterwards. If you’re in a pinch and you really haven’t had a chance to clean anything and you’re on the run a quick little method is simple toothbrush that can clean anything at anytime but think about what your teeth are, hard enamel a little trick is take a bit of toothpaste, put it on your toothbrush, take your rings off and quiet simply buff it with toothpaste, if it’ll make our teeth shine it will not harm your jewelry and it’ll bring a shine up and a pinch, if you’re traveling this is a good way to go about taking care of everything and not having to carry a liquid form with you when you go. So on those little tips shine away!"
