"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village and I'm going to show you how to apply a mineral makeup. We're going to start with our kabuki brush, this is a brush you will want to use to apply a mineral foundation. A brush like this usually has more dense bristles than say a powder brush which is a brush like this. So, it is going to pick up more of the pigment for you so your going to get a better coverage. So we are going to take our small amount that we put in our lid and we're going to take our kabuki brush and we are going to swirl. You want to swirl really, really well. This forces the minerals up into the brush because you don't want all of your minerals sitting on the surface of the bristles when you apply it to the skin. So, we are just going to tap out any excess and when you look at the brush you shouldn't really be able to see a lot of minerals sitting on the surface. If you can you want to go back and just give it another good swirl and tap it off because if you have too much sitting on the surface when it hits the skin you're going to end up with a little bit of a splotch and that is going to be really hard for you to buff out and it is going to look a little uneven and it's going to make it look a little bit cakey. So be sure that you just really swirl your brush in there and tap off any excess when you apply your makeup it's going to look a lot more natural."
