How to Apply Powder to Cover Acne

"Hi, I'm Kelli, on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to talk to you about concealing acne today. We're now going to set her foundation with a little bit of translucent finishing powder. I like to use a translucent versus a powder with some color. I just feel like it doesn't take away from the natural look of the foundation, since we have matched her perfect color. We're going to be using a powder brush for this. You want to make sure you choose a really finely milled powder. You don't want anything that's going to be too heavy on the skin. We're just going to sweep this really lightly across her face. As you see it just gives a more of a matte appearance. It sets the foundation so it'll stay on all day. Helps to minimize pore size. When you use a translucent, something that's finely milled, you don't have to worry about putting too much on. Because it's not adding any extra color to the skin, or altering the look of the foundation in any way. This is also what you would want to either take with you, or have available on hand for touch-up during the day. I'm using a loose, but you can purchase a pressed translucent compact as well, which are a little more portable, a little bit easier to take with you. And again, you want to make sure that it's an oil free product, and has some shine minimizing capabilities. Since acne prone skin tends to be a little bit more on the oily side, you can see this look will keep her matte all day long."
