How to Exfoliate Lips

"I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to choose a red lipstick. Now that we've chosen what shade of red lipstick we're going to use, the first thing we're going to do before we apply it is we are going to exfoliate her lips. I'm just going to take a cotton pad, dampen it with a little water. I'm just going to moisten her lips. I'm going to take a little bit of lip exfoliator. It's just a really gentle grainy scrub and we are just going to massage it in a circular motion over the lip area with our fingertips. And this will get rid of any surface dead skin that might be hanging around on the lip area so when we apply our treatment, which will be the next step, it will penetrate it a lot better and this will also make your lipstick go on and stay on a lot smoother. So, I'm just going to massage it, get any dead skin off. Once we do that we're just going to take another cotton pad. I'm going to dampen it with some more water and we're just going to rinse her off. You can see she has nice smooth lips, no dead skin."
