"I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to choose a red lipstick. One thing that will really help you determine which shades of red that you should go with is determining the undertone of your skin. One way that you can do this that works really well. If you take just a plain white sheet of paper and you hold it up to the face you should be able to see which color pulls more prominent. Whether it's a blue or whether it's a gold. So while holding this up to her we can see that there is a golden base that definitely pulls brighter through there. So this is a really quick, easy way that you can use if you are not sure from looking at yourself which undertone you are. And, some people may have both in their skin, some people may have blue and gold undertones. That would make them more of a neutral, what we call a neutral skin undertone and then you can wear both undertones whether you choose to wear either warm undertones or cool undertones. But, just holding up a white sheet of paper to the face is a really quick trick that you can use to determine your skin undertones."
