"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to teach you how to properly care for your skin today. There are a few products you will want to use in any basic skin care routine. You want to make sure that you have a really good makeup remover. You can get those in pad form or in liquid form. You also want to make sure that you have a really good cleanser. You can get that in gel, you can get it in cream forms based on what your skin type is. Usually a gel cleanser is going to be more for an oily skin, cream kinds are more for drier skin. You want to use a toner. Toner and astringent are actually two different things. If you are more oily and acne prone you want to use an astringent in place of a toner. If you are drier or combination skin you want to use a toner. You also want to add a mask in with your skin care routine. And these can be done weekly. Usually no more than 2 to 3 times a week and those come in a lot of different varieties based on your skin concerns. We're also going to be using an exfoliating treatment product. This is going to be a chemical exfoliator. And we are going to be using a moisturizer and an eye cream, some lip treatment and and SPF to finish everything off. Ingredients are another thing you really want to look out when you are trying to determine your skin, what kind of skin products you want to use for yourself. Usually if you are more of an oily or acne prone skin you want to look for products that have more salicylic acid, sulfur, clay, that type of thing those will help to absorb the oil and help to pull impurities out of the pores. Anti-aging products you want to look for more stuff with vitamin C, peptides, collagen and elastin those will help rebuild collagen and elastin fibers that have snapped from the skin and if you tend to have a lot of redness or a lot of sensitive skin you would want to look for more products with camomile, aloe, green tea. Those are all really great anti-inflammatories for the skin. And if you are somebody who has a lot of discolorations a product call hydroquinone or cogic acid are really great pigment reducers for the skin."
