How to Apply Goth Mascara

"Now we're on to mascara. This is the finish of the eyes. You want to use a really, really, thick volumizing mascara. Something with a really thick brush will also work well. You want really thick tarantula lashes. You don't want pretty separated curled lashes. You want wild, thick, all black, covered completely lashes. Really pile on the mascara. This is the time where you can be creative with your lashes. You can really shape them to whatever you want. They don't have to be perfect. They can just be all over the place. Pointy, poked around, some pointing one way, some pointing the other way. You can really get creative with your eyelashes at this point. She's got really good long lashes. I can just do whatever I want with them. I can point them all going one way, or I can point them all going the other way. I'm really just kind of digging deep in the lash and getting that mascara on real, real thick. You don't want this look to be too pretty. You want it to be kind of rough. Kind of like mascara that you've clumped on and slept on a few too many days. Really thick and all over the place. Once you have the top on nice and thick, you want to put a lot on the bottom as well. Again, same thing. You don't even have to be pretty about how you're putting it on. You know what, if some of it gets under the eye, the more the better. Leave it there. Look what a tremendous difference that eye is compared to this one. This one looks Goth. This one looks unfinished."
