"Now that we have the base color on, we're going to move on to the lid color. With the lid color, we don't want to do anything dramatic either. I'm doing a malt, kind of cappuccino color. I'm using a cream. It's a matte. It's going to go on really nice and smooth. You can use powder as well. As long as it looks creamy and smooth. We want it darker than the base color, but not too dark. It's kind of like that neutral, kind of caramel lid so that the liner really, really stands out when we put that on. Like I said, this is a cream color from MAC. It's a really good color. There are powder colors that you can get the same effect. It's like a nude cappuccino kind of color. We're just doing it on the lid, specifically on the lid. By the lid, I mean where the ball of the eye protrudes. Right down to the lashes, but not up past the crease of your eye. Underneath the eye, we want to keep it light. You want it all to be blended. You don't want to see any fine lines or demarcation lines. Everything needs to look like it's blended in perfectly. This is a very natural look, except for the eyeliner and the lashes. You can see the difference now where I did just the base color, and now how the lid color blends into that look. Open. I'm also going to take a tiny bit of this underneath the eye. With this look, it's really not about underneath the eye. There's really not going to be much going on underneath the eye. It's going to be really sheer and pale. I just want to blend it so it doesn't look like everything is on top. Alright. Now we're ready to move on to the eyeliner."
