"I have this thing sewn down now. In the previous clip I've shown you how to sew this closed and if you remember the original hem underneath was a blind stitch but I chose to do a top stitch and it looks just fine. Looks great!. And this is actually very normal. Like half the pants that you get like this already have a top stitch. The other half will have a blind stitch. It doesn't matter which one. But, I'm going to go ahead and just take these pins out and what we're going to do next is tack this one and a fourth inch cuff up. And we can see the marks at one and a fourth inch. And what I'm going to do is just get right over here and I'm actually going to put my thumb in there and push it in. Have it, hold it all together and turn it up. And I'm just going to pin it right here. And then I'm going to go to the other side and I'm going to do the same thing. I want to pull it straight, put my fingernail right there on that mark on the bottom and fold it over right there at the top where you can see that. Here we go. Now that hem is in, cuff is in place, here we go. And I want to actually do this to the center, too. Just to make sure everything's lining up nice and straight. Let me hold that tight and there's the mark. I'm just turning it up right there. And just take your time. If it gives you problems and it's kind of trying to move around, you just hold it until you get it the way you want it. Same thing here. Put my finger there. I want to pin this. I want to run over here and do the same thing to the other leg so I'll be ready to tack it down. And let me take these pins out. It's a really good idea to have plenty of pins when you are doing this project because we don't want the fabric moving around on you. The more you do this the more, the fewer pins you'll need most likely. So, anyways, like I showed you. Just pull it straight, fingernail on that mark and turn it over. And before we actually sew it and tack it up I want to measure it all the way around to make sure it's one and a fourth. Because when you have a cuff like this it's real easy to see if they're mismeasured. If one is one and a half and the other one is one and a quarter? You'll be able to see that. And pull it straight, put my finger here and turn it under. You're going to do this over and over. All the way around the cuff so it'll be easier as you do it. Same thing here is pull it, put your fingernail right there, turn it up and let me do a quick measurement all the way around before I use the sewing machine to tack it to make sure it's one and a fourth. It's one and a fourth. I'm just going to measure right at the seams. And that's one and a fourth. The other leg, one and a fourth. And this one, that's one and a fourth also. So, in the next clip I want to show you how to actually use the sewing machine just to run a little seam all the way on each little corner to keep that hem, excuse me, that cuff turned up like that. So, we'll do that in the next clip."
