"Now that we have everything marked, we have our original hem work, our cuff lines marked, and the very bottom hem that we're going to work with. We need to cut this excess fabric off. And what I'm going to do, I'm going to make an initial cut right here. And I could just cut straight across, but I don't want to do that. You know, especially if this is the first time you've ever done this. You just want to take your time and cut right along that very bottom chalk mark that you used , that you had marked on there. And just flip the pants over and just do one side of one leg at a time. And now that we have this cut off, this is going to be your very bottom hem that originally was surged. But instead of that, we're just going to turn it under just about a fourth of an inch and make an initial seam, but let me go ahead and cut this leg off too. Now, I'll just show you just how much we're going to turn it under. Just take your time. You don't have to be in a hurry. This really shouldn't take you very long anyway, so you don't have to be in a hurry. Get on this side also. And you could cut it all off at once, but you just want to be careful that you don't cut too much off. Then you won't have very much fabric to work with. Will make it a little more difficult. And now that we have this fabric off, what I'm going to show you how to do in the next clip is go ahead and just turn this under about a fourth of an inch and run the seam all the way around the very bottom and that's that's going to take the place of this surge. So, this is bound and this seam is going to be bound also. So, in the next clip listed let me show you how to do that."
