"So these slacks are about 5" too long for my friend so I'm going to hem them for him. The first thing we need to do is just look at the pants and evaluate what needs to be done. The first thing I always like to do is make sure that the bottom of the cuff is about wide as the leg, just move it on up and check and see and if this is wider and the bottom of the cuff. This is a little different and that's a different type of hem and this little video isn't going to help you out that much. But this is to hem a pair of pants with a leg that is straight so since it is going to be super simple and really easy to do. What I want to show you to do in the first place is we're going to go ahead and take out this hem, lay it out and just kind of look at the way the hem has been folded up. Then we're going to mark it which we'll show to mark the cuff, then we'll put it all together and press it out so your pants can be done. So let's get started on, in the next clip taking apart this hem and we'll show you how to put it back together."
