Video Transcript

"Hi! This is Joylyn Everett here with my lovely assistant Bridget for Expert Village in beautiful Malibu, California. The original guys wore tight black pans that were cut up the front, the sides, or the back and then resewn together with thread or fishing wire in white, black, red, purple, green to provide contrast. These pants were worn with tight punk rock band t-shirts, which were sometimes altered with safety pins, holes, patches, or colored thread. These outfits were accessorized with studded belts, handkerchiefs, and combat boots or tennis shoes. The girls usually wore mini skirts with torn leggings or fishnets and a loser fitting punk band t-shirt, or tight fitted torn t-shirt."
