"My name is Julia Barbee and my clothing line is Frocky JackMorgan. On behalf of Expert Village, this is a tutorial on Recycling and Deconstructing Old Clothes. We're just going to continue embellishing this T-shirt. As I laid out the design, I wanted to add some leather buttons to the top so that's what I'm going to do now. I have my needle and thread still with a new knot at at the end and I'm going to insert the needle where I want my first button to go. I'm going to just sew the first leather button in place and I just thread the needle through the loop on the back of the button and then I replace the needle and thread it through the fabric so that it pulls taut. Then I just kind of continue stitching through the fabric and through the loop so the button is in place. Since this button is so heavy, I'm going to thread the thread through one of the back pieces of the leather button just to secure it more to the garment. Then I'm going to tie a knot again for this button in the same way; just loop the thread and put the needle through the loop. And do that one more time, put the needle through, get a loop and put the needle through and pull it taut. And then I can cut it loose. So, here's kind of the finished product thus far of this shirt that we're embellishing with this other part of a T-shirt and some leather buttons and I'm going to do some hand-beading on it now."
