"So after you have completed the washing process and conditioning of your hair, you want to make sure that you are taking proper care when brushing your hair and using appliances such as a flat iron and a curling iron. The way that you can do that is by either using a bristle brush that doesn't have hard teeth so that way when you are combing through the hair, it is not going in between your own hair and the fusion. Because if you are using a hard tooth comb or a hard tooth brush, the teeth can get inside and pull on your hair extensions. It can either A, pull the extension right out or just rip your own hair out of your head which is very harmful for your hair. So I would either stick to a bristle brush or a loop brush. Now, a loop brush was created just for hair extensions, which is exactly plastic loops that go in and out of a pallet brush and that keeps the teeth from pulling. They just kind of slide right out when you are combing through your hair. Now, when you are also using a flat iron, a lot of women have told me, I used a flat iron and all of my extensions fell out. What happen? Now, because these are created by heat, are bonded with heat, you obviously don't want to apply more heat cause that is just going to take them out. So if you are going to use a flat iron, you want to make sure that you feel behind your head, you know exactly where the extensions are and then you go right under the extensions and then proceed to go downward. If you go right on top of the hair extensions, you are as good as melting them and taking them right off. So you definitely don't want to do that. If you are using a curling iron, you just want to make sure that you go all the way up with the curling iron, but just do not touch the fusion bond and that is the safest way to take care of your hair on a daily basis so that way they stay in as long as possible.
