How Hair Extensions Are Applied

"Hi, my name is Julia and this is my model Kim from Extensions by Julia on behalf of Expert Village. Today we are going to be talking about hair extensions. The application of hair extensions is very important. From my experience a lot of technicians have put in the fusion hair extensions sporadically throughout the hair. This can cause a lot of damage when your hair is growing out because it causes a lot of tangling and when you want to remove them, it causes a lot of breakage because it becomes very matted by the roots. Now, the way I do it is I create very nice precise rows across the back of the head all the way up into the front. As you can see they're very defined, when you go home you know exactly where the extensions are located. This makes it easier for you to care for your hair when it comes to brushing and flat irons and curling irons are very important because people don't know where they are located if they are not like this and they will put the flat iron directly on their hair and it will melt them right out. So by doing it in this fashion it is easier for you to locate these in the back of your head and be able to care for them properly."
