Preparing the Skin for At Home Eyebrow Wax

"Hi! My name is Kara on behalf of expertvillage.com. Today we’ll be talking about how to prepare the skin for an eyebrow wax. Before we begin today, the first thing we want to discuss is properly heating the wax in the microwave. You want to follow the manufacturer’s directions throughly before you apply it to the skin. The first thing you want to do is test the wax on a small area of your hand to make sure that is not too hot. In order to prepare the skin for an eyebrow wax, you want a use a cleaner. Apply it to a cotton ball and gently go over each eyebrow so that the skin is clean. This step is very important. Before we prep the eyebrows for an eyebrow wax, the next thing that I want to discuss is the importance of cutting the stripes properly, so that you are able to do the eyebrow wax. You want to take a strip and cut about one inch to an inch and a half. Measure it properly over her eyebrow. You want to cut a few stripes so you have a few to work with. Once you cut your stripes, place them aside until you are ready to use them. You then want to take a cleanser and clean the skin before you do the eyebrow wax. You want to gently go over each eyebrow once or twice to make sure the area is clean. Now you’re ready to wax. In the next clip, we will be learning how to do an eyebrow wax."
