"Hi! On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Jean Hurley from Siegels Day Spa in Cottonwood, Arizona and we’re today to give you some tips and techniques in identifying the muscle groups. So going into the neck now from the shoulders, you can feel where they bunch using your thumbs and your forefingers to follow the muscles. You can feel their attachment points at the collar bone level. You feel where the pecs are. You feel where the deltoids are and the biceps into the arms. As you come back up here across the ridge of the shoulder, using your fingers as your guide, just follow the muscles. They do a curve. They all attach up here for the most part at occipital ridge. So giving a stretch to head and a pull, you can feel each muscle pull. They elongate as you move your fingers and it’s a simple follow, not doing cross fiber here, not going across the muscles, just sideways, just letting them stretch. Your fingers will ride, each one is probably the width of your finger. Attaching from the shoulder blade, up the neck, into occipital ridge. You can feel each and everyone; you can identify by rolling the head. Support going at the shoulder itself, feeling the pressure with using these three fingers you can feel the muscles. You can feel where they go, where they attach. Feel them stretch as you’re going. "
