"Hi! On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Jean Hurley from Siegels Day Spa in Cottonwood, Arizona and today we’re giving you tips and techniques in pinpointing the muscle groups. So we’re here on the back of the leg. We’re up into the thigh, the back of the thigh and simply rolling the hand over the thigh, you can feel 5 or 6 different muscles right there all in this one group. A good way to do that is to flex and you get to identify what the pressure 1, 2 and 3, muscles right there in the leg. You can see their separation points, where they attach. You can even see, just by using the fingers and the thumb, you can grip certain muscles along the way and feel the cross fiber action that goes, the tendons that attach and the length of the muscle. In the leg, obviously, the muscles are a lot longer. Going in to bicep longus and following along. The groups very seldom will cross each other. They’re all along going into attaching to the glutes into the leg here, into the bottom and a nice stretch. Again, for pinpointing you can use the leg, you can flex the leg and certain muscles will pop so that you can work on those and extend the muscles themselves. "
