"Hi! On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Jean Hurley from Siegels Day Spa in Cottonwood, Arizona. We’re showing you some techniques for sports massage. I use a technique call PNF; it engages the athlete to help us warm his muscles. What this is called is a sacrum stretch. What we’re trying to do is loosen the muscles around the hip. At 3 various levels, we’re going to apply pressure to his knees while he’s pushing up against us. We do it on both sides, so from left and then to right. It stretches the muscles around the sacrum. I’m going to apply pressure to you knee, you’re going to push up with both knees up against my hands, using let’s say 50% of your body of you muscle mass. Ready, set, go. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, relax, and just rock him out of that a little bit. I’m going to bring you up here a little more. Using only your legs, not your elbows to apply pressure, press up against my hands again using both legs. Ready, set, go. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, relax. Again, stretching the muscles here in the glutes, up into the sacrum bone. Come as close as you can to fetal position, pop and crack. Same thing again, we’re going to do it 50% of your…I get up a little higher so I can apply some pressure. Ready, set, go. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, relax. Okay. What I want you to do is just roll your back, stretch out your legs, rotate your ankles a little bit, and then go to the other side. "
