"Hi! On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Jean Hurley from Siegels Day Spa in Cottonwood, Arizona and we are working on cranial-sacral release therapy today. The second hold that we generally do in a session is called a frontal lift and simply fingers together, not using the thumb. You are going to hold sort of at the temple area and you are acting like you are lifting the skull with no more pressure than the weight of a dime; simply holding at those suture lines of the skull and sort of stimulating a lift. It shouldn’t be any more pressure than the weight of a dime though. This is a great release for TMJ, migraines, for allergies and again, feeling that J-movement, the J-movement you can tell that you are stretching the cranium, stretching the suture lines and the rhythm moves 6 to 8 times per minute being very careful not to use the thumbs.
