"So now that we know how a band fits, we're going to talk about how the straps should fit. In the store I work in everyday, women come in complaining about the straps hurting them. They cut into them because they pull them too tight because the bra doesn't fit, or they put on a bra and there's a little bit of gapping right here so they immediately take it off and say it doesn't fit. Well, here's a few purposes of the strap. Again, the support comes from your band, not the straps, so you shouldn't be tightening the strap in order to get more support out of your bra. The strap should be about two fingers worth of tension, and when it's gapping in the front, the strap can be how you pull that tighter. So sometimes it's just a matter of pulling this up a little bit, and tightening the strap to get a smoother shape on top. What you can do with this bra is, all of the straps unhook, so we can unhook this strap, loosen the strap all the way, and make it a halter. And when you do that, you can actually pull the back down lower, so that this is great for a low back halter top or dress. Additionally, you can unhook this again, and you can cross the straps. And there you go!"
