Applying Gold Eye Shadow

"I'm doing the gold color on the lid, the really vibrant gold. And this is the main part of this look. You really want to get this gold really vibrant and glowing. So I'm using a small brush so I really get a lot of color onto the lid. And I'm going to pat it onto the lid, or stipple it, or buff it rather than swipe it, because if we swipe it, it's just going to fly right off. We really want to get it nice and potent onto the lid. And for you at home, if you feel like, make sure your fingers are clean; you can use your fingertips. That works really well too because you can pat it really nicely into your eyelid with your fingertip as well. You have a lot of control also with your fingertip. And you just want to do it little by little until you get your desired look. It's a pretty metallic vibrant gold, so you may not want to put it on so harsh. The look I'm going to do for her is going to be kind of a mid-range look. It's going to kind of a day/evening look. You can take it from day into evening depending on what you are doing or where you are going. Open. Close. And really blend it; make sure that everything looks nice and blended. Look up for me. Look up. And I'm going to take the gold also underneath her eye, just so it's balanced and to give it a nice highlight underneath the eye as well. If you get some gold underneath your eye, don't worry, just clean it up. It may even look really pretty. This doesn't have to be a completely polished look, it's that bronze glow look, so if you get a little glitter here and there, it's not a big deal. And look how beautiful this gold looks on her eye."
