"Now before you start your make-up application, adding colors to your face, you want to make sure you take care of your skin well. Day and night, moisturize, cleanse, use some eye cream, use lip conditioner, really take care of your skin. Your face will thank you and your make-up will look so much nicer. So, she just cleansed her skin. She used water and a cleanser. If you don't have access to water, use a make-up remover wipe. But just make sure you really cleanse your skin and tone it if necessary and then put on a good moisturizer. So I'm going to use a nice normal skin moisturizer with an SPF. She has normal skin. She needs hydration but not tremendous hydration. If you are really dry, you want to use something that was more emollient like a cream, a thicker cream. If you are oily, you want to use something that has more oil control, more mattifying. Something that's going to control the shine. So you really want to just blend it in. If you're at home, you don't have to use a brush. You can use your fingertips. Just make sure your hands are clean because you don't want to add any bacteria to your face after you've just cleansed it, of course. And really concentrate too on the neck area and around the eye area because those are very delicate areas that can get dry easily. Now, once your moisturizer is all blended in, I always like to use a separate eye cream. Especially when you're using a lot of powders around the eyes, your eyes tend to get crepey and the powders tend to seep in to the lines. So using a little eye cream really helps. It smoothes out the eye area. Be very gentle and delicate and just put it around the eye area. You don't have to put it directly across they eye, but just around the eye area. And lastly, you want to use a lip conditioner. Especially in the winter months, you definitely want to make sure your lips are completely moisturized. And you should put your lip conditioner on before you start your make-up so that once you get to the lips, the conditioner has seeped in and your lips are nice and smooth and supple. And that's your basic skin care."
