"Now that we have the skin care on, we're going to do foundation. You want to use a matte foundation. Depending on your skin, you can use a heavier or medium sheer coverage. She has great skin, so I'm using a more sheer to medium coverage. I'm using a foundation that's matte. It doesn't have an iridescence or a glow to it all so we can get that very porcelain skin look. She has great skin, so I'm using the same foundation as a concealer as well. I'm just going to concentrate it around the eye area, anywhere that needs a little bit concealing. Around the nose or if we have like a blemish. If you have skin that's a little bit more problematic, then you may want to use something that is heavier coverage, or you may want to use a separate concealer and foundation. That's just completely up to you. This is a look where there's going to be a lot of makeup on the face. You don't have to worry so much about being a natural. You want the skin to look good, but you don't need to worry so much about seeing the skin underneath or making sure it's very, very sheer. You also don't want to look like you caked makeup all over your face. Just depending on what you're comfortable with. Like I said, she has great skin, so I really don't need to use very much in the way of foundation. Just maybe cover a little bit here and there. Just make sure it's all blended and it all looks natural and not streaky. Once the foundation is on, take some powder and put that on. You can really pile it on a bit, unless your skin is really dry, and especially if it's oily. You want to kind of pile on the powder because that's going to make the skin look really smooth and completely flawless. Another option is airbrushing. That tends to be a little heavier, and so it looks completely flawless on the skin. Look up for me. Don't forget the neck. You want to take it down the neck a little bit just so that there's no line of demarcation. Everything looks smooth. There we go. We're ready to start with the color."
