"Now that we have all the tools and products we need, you want to make sure your skin is completely cleansed, clear of all makeup. You want a fresh clean pallet to start with. You want to prep your skin for makeup application. You want to moisturize and you want to put on some lip conditioner and some eye creams, so that's what we're going to do right now. This is a very matte look. It's that porcelain skin, matte look, very vintage, old Hollywood. I'm going to use just an everyday regular moisturizer. If you're really oily, you can use something with a matifiyer because you don't want it to look glowy or dewy. You want it to look pretty flat and matte. You want to have that porcelain flat skin look. If you're oily, you don't want to look shiny at all. That's not the look we're going for for this, so you want to use something with a matifiyer. If you're really dry, it's fine. You can use any moisturizer, because you don't want your skin to look dry either. You want to just put it all over the face and down the neck. Don't forget the neck and just really blend your moisturizer in. Then I always like, especially when I'm using a lot of makeup, use a little bit of an eye cream. It's just going to help the makeup go on so much smoother and it's just going to plump out your eyes and just make them look nice and soft. You just want to go all around the eye area. Not directly on the eye, but just around the eye area. Just very gently pat the eye cream into the eye. Lastly, you want to use some lip conditioner. Since we're using kind of vibrant and sparkly lip colors, you want to make sure your lips are nice and conditioned because they can tend to get dried out or look dried out if you put a lot of lipstick on top of them. Once we get to the lips after we've done all the makeup, this lip conditioner will have seeped in and the lips would be nice and supple."
