"Now that we have the base color on, we're going to do a lid color. The lid color is not going to be tremendously different from the base color, honestly. A little bit darker, a little more nude. You want it to look really creamy. If you ever look at old pictures of the actresses, it looks like the top of their lids are smooth as silk. I'm using a cream eye shadow. It's a basic nude color, a really sheer nude color. It has no shimmer to it. You don't want to use anything shimmery or glittery for this. Close your eyes. We're going to basically put it on the lid. The lid is the ball of the eye. Wherever the eye protrudes is the lid. You want to keep it really located just on the lid. This cream so it goes on pretty smooth, and then it will dry. You can use a powder as well. It's all personal preference. Again, you want to keep it directly on the lid. You want underneath the brow to still stay that light color. You want to get it as close to your lash line as possible. Again, start soft. If you need to go darker, do another layer. I'm going to do one more layer. I want it to have that smooth creamy effect. Same thing. You want nothing underneath the eye. You want everything over the top of the eye. It's a really, really neutral eye at this point. Then we're going to get a little glam in the next step."
