"Ok, well now if you're adverse to lip gloss - some people don't like that sticky, tacky feeling - you can always use a lipstick. And most cosmetic companies now make a lipstick that is moisturizing or has a luster to it, so that's what I'm going to use. This lipstick is not going to be as shiny as a gloss, but it's still going to have that glow so it looks like you're wearing something similar to a gloss, without having that matte lipstick look. I'm also going to use a lip liner. I'm using a lip liner because it will help the lipstick stay on longer, and it will just give a nice shape to the lips. You don't have to use a lip liner if you don't want to; it's just personal preference again. Try it both ways; see if you like it. Now with the lip liner, I'm going to line her entire lip, and then I'm going to fill in the entire lip. Just like I'm drawing with a crayon. What that's going to do is keep the lipstick on longer, and just give a nice smooth look to the lips. And it will also darken the lipstick a little bit, especially if you're using really light-colored lipstick, you may want to add a little more color, and that's where lip liner comes in. Again, the lip liner is pretty neutral as well. You want to use a neutral lip liner -- you don't want that "lip liner" look, you want it all to blend in. And again, you can use a lip brush, or you can use your lip tube, directly from the tube, it's just up to you. It's all trying it out and seeing what fits best for you and what you like. And always remember to bring your lipstick or lip gloss with you. Because you know that's not going to stay on forever. Your makeup would be pretty long-wearing, but your lipstick is going to come off eventually. And there we go, that's a nude lipstick look. Very similar to gloss, but not as glossy and sticky."
