"Before you begin the 80s inspired look, you want to make sure you have all the right colors. Most of us don't have a repertoire of blues, pinks and such in our makeup collection, unless you really do that kind of in an everyday basis. You might want to go out and just get a few staple colors for the 80s look. Anything for the lips and the pink color like fuschia glosses. You can even do light pinks, something real pretty and sheer. Anything that's got shimmer to it. If you remember the 80s, it was very pink and shimmery lips and no lip liner really. It was mostly just like the lip color. Pink blush. The rosy cheeks pink blush. It was that kind of stripe on the cheek. You can even do darker pink than this. It just depends. Black mascara and black eyeliner, liquid eyeliner. That was big. It wasn't so much about the crease of the eye and the smoky eye. It was that black liquid eyeliner and that black mascara. Everything just kind of clump together. It was that very dramatic look. Just always make sure you have your appropriate brushes. For any makeup look, you want to make sure you have your brushes because the makeup is going to apply so much nicer with brushes. Eye shadows. Make sure you have nice assortment of eye shadows. I'm going to use this blue right here for the 80s look. Silvers are great. If you have an assortment of eye shadows, you can blend and mix and create any look that you want. Just make sure that you stock up on the things you need before you start out this look and find out that you don't have something. "
