"Hello this is Heather for Expert Village and we've just finished doing an ohm as part as a bridal henna design and now what we're doing next is the lotus flower around the ohm to kind of take up most of the center of the hand. Now we're going to draw in the petals of the lotus flower. They're sort of a Hershey Kiss kind of shape. So we're just going to go in and going to just put a little spot in the center of each flower. The way I'm doing that is squeezing a pretty large dot of henna and then pulling it outward to make that shape. You don't actually have to draw the outline of this little shape, it's much easier to just kind of get a blob and pull it out. We're actually going to do another round of petals to take up a little more of the hand putting it in between the other petals. What the lotus flower itself actually symbolizes is kind of rebirth that comes out from the mud and the pond and it comes out and blooms in this white in pure and it's beautiful, so that's the symbolism behind this."
