"In this clip we're going to show you how to make your own henna paste. We have already mixed the henna paste and let it sit overnight and now after you let it sit overnight, this is what it actually would look like, it will be darker. So as you can see there's two different colors of brown in the henna paste after it sat overnight. You have this very dark brown that's at the top and then underneath it's a lighter brown, but it's darker than it was the night before, the kind of greenish color. You'll be able to see that color, the lighter one just by kind of pulling back some of the darker. If you see two different colors you are good to go. What you do next is add some essential oils. In particular you're adding oils that have mono-terpenes and alcohol, known to henna artists as terp. One of these my favorite is Cajeput, another oil that you can use that also is a terp is lavender, which we'll just be adding a little bit of to change the scent cause the Cajeput tends to smell slightly overwhelming. Smells mostly like petri. But you just put a little bit less than for this amount of henna just about a teaspoon like that. You can see it's just a little pool of oil around the bottom of the henna and you're just going to mix that in. I'm going to mix my Cajeput first and have it be mostly the consistency that I want and make sure that it is good. Then, just add a little bit of lavender for the scent. So you can see it just kind of smooths it out a little bit, sins it out just a little. This is actually a pretty good consistency, but I will show you how to thin out the henna paste in just one second."
