How to Clean the Skin Before Ultrasound Facials

"I’m Hollie Olson on behalf of Expert Village. I’m going to talk about cleansing the skin before you do an ultrasonic treatment. Anytime you do treatments to your skin, you should always get good clean skin to start with. One thing that’s particular with ultrasonic machines because they do work on a blade that you want to protect, it to use a skin product that is for oily skin. Even if you don’t have oily skin, it’s best to clean you skin with that because it helps to really absorb any surface oils and sebum, which is the oil in your skin. Sebum oil it can dull the blade of the machine. Just use a little water and a little cleanser and just do a nice sweeping motion around the cheeks and get into the nose. You just want to get a nice coverage to make sure that you’re getting rid of that oil and getting your skin nice and clean before the treatment. And you complete your scrub. Be mindful around the forehead, the T zone areas, such as around the nose, down and into the chin. At home, you just want to use a lot of water. For our purposes today, we’re going to use the hot steam towel for cleansing. We’re just going to remove it all so we can start with really fresh clean skin to show how the ultrasonic works. "
