"For our next step here since this is a virgin hair color what we are going to do is take your brush(which has a rat tail on the end). In a slight diagonal we are going to take about a quarter inch section. Now from the root to half way up is what we call your heat zone. So this is a virgin application what you are going to want to do is take it about a inch 1/2 inch to a inch above that. Because the thing is heat process cause color. So if we put it right on the scalp it is going to process faster at your scalp then on your ends. You would get what is called hot root. So your scalp 2 inch away would be a lot lighter or even sometimes even deeper then the rest. So what we would go ahead and do is take your brush with your color. Now that we have sectioned off the hair into 4 sections, what we are going to do is put our gloves on for safety. And go right into her color. Since this is a virgin color, a virgin color application what we are going to do is take it at a 1/4 section here on the top in a slight diagonal. Now half a inch is where the application is going to begin. From the scalp to a inch up is what we call a heat zone. Now heat will accelerate deep color process. So what you are going to want to do is apply it about an inch to an inch away from the scalp to right about a quarter inch away from the ends. You would go ahead and put that aside, go to your next section same thing about a quarter inch in a slight diagonal. Go for your color and apply half a inch to an inch bringing it out, away from that heat zone. Bring it through the end here, put that aside and go in for your next. You are going to always want to go away from the face. You don't want any color falling or dripping to the face and irritate the eyes. Same thing about a half a inch to a quarter inch away bringing it through your ends. Really work it through, you really want to distribute that color as even as possible. You just continue quarter inch section all the way down, half a inch to a quarter inch away from the heat zone bringing it through. You would continue this process all the way down to the end. So let's go to our next step. "
