"So for our next step in our color application, we are going to go ahead and put a base protective on. What you can use is Vaseline type product. What I like to do is just put it right around the hairline and what that is going to do is going to help any irritation. Also if you get any color on your skin this is going to help for the color not to set in and it would wash off much easier. What you are going to want to do is put this all around your hairline, behind your ear as well as on your neck area. So what you are going to do is take the base protector, you are going to put it right on to your hairline. Put it all around the side there on your ear, around your ear and onto your neck and continue that all around your hairline. That is going to protect your base."
