" Hi! I’m Jamie Yasko-Mangum and I’m with Successful Style and Image, today on Expert Village we’re going to talk about closet shopping. Have you ever heard of that? You’re probably saying oh guess what I have nothing in my closet that’s going to go with this new style now I’ve just discovered about myself but guess what you’ll be surprised your probably do have clothes in your closet that now will be in the style that you’ve discovered for yourself. When we talk about closet shopping I’m not talking about that this is the only thing you can wear but closet shopping is knowing what you can wear that is in your closet currently that projects this new style that you have. When you look in your closet you’re going to have clothes for you and you’re probably going to sometimes have clothes for your husband or for your friend or whomever that it is but your closet sometimes can get real congested so when your closet shopping what you need to do is first look at each category of clothing whether it is jeans, whether it is shorts, it could be tops tons of tops, you need to evaluate each piece of clothing. Number one, pull out one piece of clothing and see if it goes with your new style I want you to see is the style? Does it fit you? Does it fit like it should, where compliments is not too tight, it’s not too big and it’s age appropriate, is there any kind of flaws to it? Is there a stain on it? Do you have a string on it? You need to look for those or is it completely outdated, it’s not part of your new style? You need to make three piles first pile are the clothes that go with your new style you need to either put them back in your closet, sort them, put them back in your each time you pull out that one piece this goes with my new style, goes with my new style. If you get a piece of clothing that needs an alteration let’s say it’s a pair of jeans, say it’s a pair of jeans and it needs an alteration maybe they’re too long for you or there’s a button missing, make a pile this needs alterations but also if it needs an alteration make sure that it’s also the correct style, so for pile two it needs to be the correct style this new style that you’re projecting and that it needs your attention to the alterations, that’s your second pile. Your third pile is going to be clothes that are outdated, they’re too casual, they just don’t fit you anymore that’s your third, so now what you need to do is get those pile two get those clothes alter cause that can go in part of your closet and then you have pile one, put those back in your closet and there you’ve gone closet shopping, thank you."
