Importance of Male Grooming for a Professional Look

" Hi! My name is Jamie Yasko-Mangum and I’m with Successful Style and Image. Today on Expert Village we’re going to talk about grooming of your hair, nails and you skin. I think that it’s very important for men to understand that they also need to take care of their selves when they’re wearing a suit or for that matter any type of business clothing whether it’s business clothing or casual dress. Number one your hair, men’s hair depending on the field that you’re on, if you’re in a more conservative work profession, you’re going to have to have a more conservative hair cut, it may be above the ears not touching the collar but make sure there’s a style to it, make sure that it’s clean, also make sure that it has some type of vibrance to it. If you’re in more of an artistic field, gaming arts, technology sometimes they’ll allow you to have longer hair, but take care of it, make sure it’s clean, make sure you pull it back, make sure it does have some kind of style to it. When we’re talking about the face of a man, if you have a clean face and that’s the way you want it with no facial hair, make sure that you shave everyday, make sure that you wash your face, make sure it’s the refreshing face that you have. If you have some type of facial hair you want to make sure that it is groomed, number one that means clean, you want to make sure it is cut, you want to make sure it looks good with your face. Then let’s go down with our hands and our nails. Now I know a lot of men sometimes don’t think they need their hands and their nails done, but you need to have moisturized hands. You know what you might be somebody who as a hobby does a lot with wood work, but you still need to moisturize your hands because it gives your hands a good feel, make sure your nails are clean also. The last thing I would like to talk about is your hygiene. Many times men sometimes will wear too much cologne and some men will wear absolutely no cologne at all or some men will not wear no deodorant at all, you want to make sure you smell good when you go to work, no matter the profession that you’re in. If you’re wearing cologne make sure it doesn’t knock the socks off of everybody when you’re walking down the isle, make sure that it’s just pleasant also it’s got to be refreshing. So remember the grooming the men’s grooming is very important when you’re working. Thank you."
