"There's an important thing called pageant etiquette and you want to make sure that every contestant follows a certain type of etiquette. One thing that's very important is the way they carry themselves in public. You want to make sure that they have a proper posture and that they have a good appearance. For example, when standing up and talking to someone, they don't want to be slouching like this, shoulders drop, looking down to the floor. That means they are not interested in what the other person is saying. Make sure they know how to stand up straight with their shoulders back and look someone directly in the eye when talking to them. Also, it's important to show respect to their peers as well as authority. That's something that you want to instill in them as they participate in the pageant. Make sure that they are gracious whenever someone wins. They support each other and they encourage each other, but they don't bad-mouth each other at the pageant."
