"If you choose to have a private interview, that?s gonna lengthen your day quite a bit. You?re gonna have interviews from the morning until the afternoon before the girls changing that their hair done to do the actual pageant that evening. So you want to remind the girls that they need to look professional. They need to wear business attire, preferable a jacket with a skirt or dress pants. And make sure that they wear a nice neutral color of shoes preferably with heels. Whenever the girls walk into a room, they need to either sit down or stand behind the podium. You choose whatever you want to do as long as it?s kind of a relax but still professional atmosphere. Do not allow the girls to approach the judges at their desk, and to bridge that comfort zone. That's not appropriate. Just make sure that they stand at a distance and introduce themselves with their names first and their purpose for being in the pageant. Don't forget to conduct a mock interview with the girls, with the contestants before the actual interview day so that they can have an idea of what its gonna be like to actually go thru an interview process."
