Directing a Beauty Pageant Program

"Now we're going to talk about sponsorship and program books. You're going to want to find sponsors if you're having trouble finding certain areas of the pageant. You should call businesses that perhaps want to promote or advertise something and ask them if they would like to be a part of your program book and that way, they can actually sponsor ads in the program book that you'll be handing out to audience members and pageant contestants. When you are creating a program book, you want to make sure that all the contestants are listed and it helps if their pictures are above their names. Here's an example of a program book. It doesn't have to be this elaborate. It can be on sheets of paper that are bound together. But you do want to include pictures and make copies. Inside you want to make sure that you list all of the contestants with their names and their pictures. Especially if you're going to have a photogenic contest. This is an example of a program book that is more simplified. It doesn't have colors printed, but it just has a basic word on the outside and then you can open it up and you can put the text and you can also list sponsors in a program book like this as well. And then also you want to put the order of events that night of the pageant. So you want to distribute this to the judges, to anyone that's involved in the pageant, and you also want to hand it out to all the attendees at the pageant. It's a good idea to get a volunteer to pass these out about thirty minutes or so before the pageant begins so that all of the audience can know what's coming up next."
