"The next thing you wanna think about when directing a local pageant is finding the right judges. You wanna find people who are public figures or people who are experienced with pageants or something else that has to do with community outreach. So you wanna call other pageant organizations first and see if there are any local directors in your area that will be willing to come and participate as a judge in your own pageant. Also, you can call the local chamber of commerce and ask them if someone from the board would be willing to participate. The best number for judges would be a panel of three to five. Odd numbers are best so that it makes it more of a fair average whenever you're doing the scores. And the last thing that you wanna remember is to really treat your judges right and make sure that they have plenty of snacks and beverages throughout the day and that they feel really comfortable whenever they come to volunteer to be a judge on your pageant."
