How to Test Liquid Foundation Makeup

"ERIN KEITH: Hi. I'm Erin and you're watching Expert Village, and today we're going to be working on corrective base makeup. Okay, now we are going to test the liquid foundation first and we're only gonna--we're going to do halves today. We're going to do liquid foundation example on one side of the face and on the other we're going to do powder but like I said right now we're doing liquid foundation. So here, I've put down one that's a little lighter toned liquid foundation but it's also got a yellowish tone in it. Also I've put a dark one here to maybe darken it if it needs to be darkened and it also has a yellowish tone in it as my client has a little yellowish tone to her skin. So first a few and take your Q-tip and you want to dip it lightly into--we'll just start with the lighter colored one and draw a line down here where her cheek goes down her jaw line, so we know it kinda matches the neck. It's blending in quite nicely. Now, it looks almost correct there. Now see we'll do this one just to show you, give you a contrast of what you're working with. You could do it darker. No, that's a little bit too dark right there and it's also got a little bit more reddish tone in it as well. So, probably what you'd want to do is add maybe a drop of the darker and the light just to kind of--give it a little bit darker 'cause it might be a little too light. So that's what we're going to do right now. We're just going to take a little drop and mix it in with this. There we go. All right, and now to test that one out, perfect. All right."
