"If we have, after we have pressed it or before we have pressed it, we have noticed either a button missing or a seam ripped we try to fix it. And some customers will point that out when they bring it in because they know we will do it. I would then take the seam and I would make sure the color of thread is proper for it and I would then fix it up on my little sewing machine here. Buttons I can just sew on and I have all sorts and colors of thread. This sweater had two buttons and somehow one of the buttons got lost. It happens more often on, or in some cases in pressing sometimes a button gets broken, but we take a button and I would then replace the button for them and sew it on. I have quite a selection of buttons and just oodles of them over here. I keep them all in my little thing here. And then I could just take my needle and sew my button on and cut the thread. A garment, if you are doing any altering, should be exactly the way the garment was put together, with the same type of buttons, the same type of seams, and the same as with jeans. If they have a jean double seam on it, that's how you would repair it. It's just what we would do for our customers in a small dry cleaners. This is not a large operation as you can well know, but we are in the a small town and offer special services to our customers and that's why they come back to us."
