"This sweater has a spot, so I remove the sticker because we don't want the stickers in all the cleaning, in the fluids. And I decide that what kind of a base is it, is it an oil based spot, is it a water based spot? How the spot of what it looks like to me and sometimes a customer will come in and say, “I had cappuccino drop right down my front," well then I know something different I'm going to be cleaning with. But being that I'm going to use this for a laundry, I'm going to use just a little spray on it, let's see if it comes out. And then I have a very slight tool here. The secret of all spotting is you don't want to rub. You don't want to rub all over and destroy the surface of the fabric. You want to try a little and work gently on the spot. You want to work slowly on the spot. You want to rub gently and sometimes if I have the spotting board on, I can use one of the pedals and it will draw some of the liquid out of the sweater. Another way of doing that is to take a little paper towel and then just pat it and see if the spot looks like its gone, looks like its gone from here, and then I go on with the next process. "
