"Hi. Welcome to Expert Village. I'm Gretchen Soares with Butterfly Boutique. Okay, so first we're going to cut out one bib. I usually make these a couple at a time, but today we're just going to make one and you can see how easy it would be to do more than one. We're going to lay the first fabric out. It's folded in half so we have two pieces, so one cut is going to create two pieces. Then we're going to lay the second fabric right on top of it making sure to match up the folds and the selvages so that we are straight and you know when you cut through the top that you're going to get both pieces. If you don't match up the edges, you could make a cut and only get one of the pieces. And again, this fabric is folded in half so we're going to get two polka dotted pieces and two dump truck pieces. We're going to lay our pattern out. You want to make sure you're pattern is going straight with the grain of the fabric, not at an angle because it's going to be very difficult to sew. So make sure it's going straight up and down. I'm going to go ahead and use it on the edge over here. This is the main body piece of the bib. Put some pins in to secure it while we're cutting. Now we have our strap piece. We're going to need two of these, so we're going to lay the first one out here and pin it on. Once we've cut the first one, then we'll move it over and cut a second one. Okay, now we're going to cut out. We want to make sure we're getting all four pieces of fabric and just cut along the edge of the pattern. This pattern has seam allowance included, so we just cut right along the edge of the pattern. Set the cut piece aside. Okay, now that we have the first set of straps cut, we are going to take the pattern off, move it over and cut the second set. "
