Video Transcript

"Hi. Welcome to Expert Village. I'm Gretchen Soares and today we're going to be discussing how to shop for children's clothing. In this clip, we're going to discuss the choices we have in shopping for children's clothing. One of the first things we want to decide when we're getting ready to shop is do we want to go buy new goods at a new store or would we like to buy recycled goods at a store specializing in recycled goods? In a store where we go for new goods, you're guaranteed quality. You know what quality you're walking into. And you're guaranteed a stain free; you're not going to have to look over the garment to find any defects. You're also going to have a wider selection of the same garment in multiple sizes so if you're not sure on sizing for the child sometimes that's good because you can see the same garment in a gradation of sizes. In a recycled clothing store you're going to find a high quality of clothing. It's not going to be brand new quality where it's perfect but a lot of the stores specialize in going through the clothing to make sure you're getting a high grade of quality clothing. They're not putting trash on their sales floor. So that's a good choice if you want the bargain of recycled clothing without the chore of sorting through it. The benefit to recycled clothing is that children go through clothing so extremely quickly and many times they have so many clothes or they go through a size so quickly that you have near new or very good condition clothing that you're done with and so a recycle store you can trade in your kid's clothing that they've grown out of and get new clothing for them and then as a consumer coming into that store you're going to find good quality clothing at a reasonable price so you can get more of it for your money."
