"HARMONIE KRIEGER: So, eyes of course are very important because you want them to stand out. So, this a new line actually by Mac and these are warm colors. Always for evening, you want to do a smoky eye, you want to do something that's more dramatic but if you're at daytime, you want to do something that's more subtle. So, you really have to go with the day or the night and also what goes with your dress because you don't want to have an outrageous eye where the focus is just on that. You want the focus to be on your face and what you look like so you want to do simple makeup. So, what we're going to do first is line the eye. We're going to give her a nice dark brown liner. Just because she's wearing black doesn't mean she needs a black eye shadow. So, we're going to line the lid with this dark, beautiful brown and it's really going to make her eyes stand out and then what we're going to do is highlight with a light brown which is going to even out the color after we're done. Then I want to give her a little pizzazz to her dress so I'm going to give her a little--it's like a mauve and it's really pretty with her skin because she's dark so it's kind of like a little pinkish look but it's not too much. I love that mauve. It's so pretty. And then what you want to do is just take your finger and smudge it out a little bit so it's not all one color on top of each other. And then, of course, no matter what you do, you want to have a light color at the top to highlight the brow. So, I'm just going to put a little bit of that light shimmer because you want that glow down the red carpet, and then of course you're going to top it off with a mascara. Here we go. Beautiful. So, this is a great daytime red carpet look. And if you want to get funky at night, you can smoke out the eye, do a heavy liner and do a liner underneath but this is a perfect red carpet day."
