"HARMONIE KRIEGER: So, foundation is also very important because if you're walking down the red carpet or you're going on a special event in the daytime, and it is hot out, your foundation can melt and it could run. And the worst thing to have is a picture taken of you when your foundation is all over the place. So, first off you definitely want to get a foundation with SPF, like I mentioned before. This is from Mac. It's a liquid foundation. You can use powder as well. But this has an SPF of 15, so in any case, if you're under the sun your skin will be protected. That's first and foremost, okay? Then, what I like to do is--now, a lot of makeup artists use brushes and I love brushes. But if you don't have a makeup artist and you're putting this on yourself and it's during the day, I really like to use my hands, because there's nothing that gets your skin more even than using your fingers. And people are surprised by that. So, you just take a little bit in your hand and you're going to apply the foundation like so, and make sure you have it all over--oh, this is a perfect color for you--and make sure it's even because this is what happens. We do not want a line of foundation going across our face, especially if we're in the camera or our friend tells us that we have a line of foundation running 'cause I've had that happen to me before. So, you want to make sure that you go all the way down to the middle of your neck, okay? So, if you get it down to the middle of your neck, you know for a fact that you are not going to have a line right across your face. So the foundation goes all over and then, of course, you're going to put powder over that. But just make sure that it's even, that's the number one thing you need to watch when you put this on. And don't put the foundation on in the dark. Make sure you have plenty of light and if you need extra light, bring in a separate mirror, a small mirror, a magnifying one because magnifying mirrors show all the lines that you have."
